How do I apply for alternative examination arrangements

To apply for alternative arrangements in your final University of Otago examinations:

  1. Log in to eVision.
  2. Check that your examination timetable is visible in your eVision (if it isn't available, you will need to wait until it is).
  3. Once the examination timetable is available, go to Examinations and Results.
  4. Under Alternative Arrangements, select the Apply Here button.
  5. Complete the details and select the appropriate arrangements for each paper.
  6. Attach appropriate supporting documentation, unless up-to-date documentation is already held on file by Disability Information and Support.
  7. Submit the application.
  8. Check your portal notifications for confirmation that your application has been received.

Log in to eVision

If the paper/s you want to apply for is not selectable in eVision, you need to contact Disability Information and Support: disabilities@otago.ac.nz and request an application for internal examinations. This must be submitted at least 10 days before the date of the examination.

You will need to provide the following information in your application:

  • Paper code
  • Examination date
  • Examination start and finish times
  • Course co-ordinator's name
  • The arrangements you are applying for
