The Blues and Golds Sports and Cultural Awards are coordinated by the Otago University Students' Association (OUSA) in collaboration with the University of Otago.
The awards recognise and celebrate the highest degree of sporting, cultural, community, and arts achievements by University students. They are a prestigious celebration of excellence and contribution across a wide range of student activities.
The Blues and Golds Awards programme includes:
- A nomination system designed to ensure eligible students are aware of, and able to apply for, awards
- A moderation process to ensure award standards are applied consistently
- The organisation and delivery of formal awards ceremonies
