The University of Otago provides solutions for staff and students to store documents or other files related to their work and study.
- High Capacity Central File Storage (HCS) drives are hosted locally on-campus. HCS drives provide stable and secure file storage for staff and some students, without uploading files to the cloud.
- Microsoft OneDrive subscriptions are provided to all staff and students as part of their Microsoft 365 license. OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage platform, providing secure and stable file storage that can be accessed from any device and shared with other users inside and external to the University.
- Microsoft Teams provides a file storage space within each channel created for a team. Staff and students can create private Teams sites and use these for file storage and sharing with other members of the team.
